Lingyan Temple, also known as Yaoshui Cliff, is located in the Yuwen Mountainside on the east bank of the Jialing River 3.5 kilometers south of Luoyang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, and is a national key cultural relics protection unit, a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a provincial-level scenic spot. The total area of the scenic spot is 79.1 hectares, there are more than 30 scenic spots, and it is a comprehensive tourist attraction integrating stele cultural relics, religious culture, and strange cave secrets.
Lingyan Temple was built in the Tang Kaiyuan period (713-741), the temple is composed of two natural caves, by the mountain and the river, the east to the west [2], the natural landscape and the cultural landscape are cleverly combined, it is a natural interest, the temple is built according to the mountain, it is scattered, the cave is magnificent, and the clouds are suspended in the air. The architecture and painting of Lingyan Temple are distinctive, the first big bronze Buddha in southern Shaanxi - the statue of the big Buddha in Bilu is unique, there are many cliff carved stones, up to more than 130 passes, especially the "Ode to the Pavilion" of the Eastern Han Dynasty is the most famous, and the literati carved stones in the past dynasties, known as "the small stele forest in southern Shaanxi".
